The Power Hour


From Steve Allen at Camp Stephens:

"These are some guys from Hydro who were replacing our submarine cable to our island.
"This cable had originally been put in 1961 and provides all the power to our island traveling from Town Island to another island and then to us.
"These cables usually last around 20-25 years so I guess we got lucky
with ours.
"They also had to fly in a (new)transformer by helicopter."

    CORRECTION ON THE INSTALLATION OF THE POWER LINE TO CAMP.I WAS CAMP DIRECTOR 1960 TO 1963 & WE WORKED WITH GENERATOR. THE POWER LINE HAD TO BE INSTALLED AFTER 1963. HAL SHOULD BE ABLE TO GIVE A CORRECT DATE
